The video shoot in L.A. for "Work in this Universe"
fulflej was in full effect. There were two basic parts to the Godzilla concept. One part was the band playing inside the building while the other part was the giant fulflej dolls wrecking the city where the building stood. The dolls were originally designed by drummer Matt Nelson for the CD cover. The Monkey was there and shot this exclusive behind the scenes video footage of said carnage.

Below, left; visiting video director Liz Friedlander (Alanis Morissette's "You Live, You Learn") denied any Felini influence on that video. She swore that it was purely a subconscious influence. MmmHmm.

Above and to the right (David Niven looking guy in black shirt) Director Tony Maxwell, who is also the drummer for the LA band "that dog.", came up with the concept for the video. He was assisted by Director of Photography; Scott Henriksen.(In the white shirt to the left) Below: James Iha made a special guest appearance in the video during the guitar solo he did for the song.

The video itself premiered on MTV's 120 Minutes, November 17th. James Iha and D'arcy from the Smashing Pumpkins were on hand with Matt Pinfield to introduce the video and promote their label Scratchie Records.

It's pretty weird for a cult of slack devil worshipers to see one of our own actually doing something with their lives, but we still accept the fulflejjies and wish them nothin' but love.

Back to Red Zero.
